Stall - Baby and Kids Market

I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who visited my stall at the Baby and Kids market on Sunday.  I met some lovely people and really look forward to featuring some of you on the blog when your little bub's are due.  Congratulations to Eloise, who won the Portraiture Session competition.  I'm sure you will see more of her later in the year. :)  A big thank you to my mum again for helping out. I couldn't have done it without you.

I was really happy with my stall set up.

Ayrlie's Cake Smash | Brisbane Childrens Photographer

At first I was a bit hesitant about having a cake smash. I mean, how much fun can it be watching a one year old eat cake?  I soon changed my mind. After watching Ayrile cautiously lick the icing off her fingers, decide that it was pretty good stuff, and proceed to smash both hands into the top of the cake. Rubbing it into her face as fast as her little hands would allow, she loved it!


So basically, it was 45 min of me, Nana and Grandad laughing hysterically, trying to stop Ayrlie from choking because she was stuffing so much cake into her mouth, and me trying to capture some photos all at the same time.  I will definitely be  recommending this to my clients.  It truly is great fun for everyone involved.  Thanks so much to my fantastically talented mum for whipping up the headband and ruffled shorts the night before.  They were perfect and they looked so cute.

This is my new cake smash storyboard.  I love how you can fit so many images on it.  And trust me, you need every square. :)  These can be custom colored to suit your decor.

Remember this beautiful little girl.  Well she has a new baby brother.  I posted a sneak peak a couple of weeks ago and wanted to share the rest of my favourite shots.

They are such a great family and were so much fun to work with.  Baby L was perfect and just slept through almost the entire session.  Thanks so much for letting me share some of your beautiful family's moments. 

The most popular way of showcasing your favourite Mummy-n-Me collection is in the form of a Storyboard.  These can be done in canvas, wall mount or print.  They truly make an amazing piece of art for your wall.

Ayrlie's Lovely Ladybug party

My Beautiful little ladybug has just turned one and we celebrated on Sunday with a ladybug garden party.  The party table was covered in lots of homemade treats. We celebrated with chocolate mousse cups topped with fresh made rhubarb jam, baby cheesecakes, lemon meringue cup cakes, malt cookies with ladybugs, a selection of hot goodies and the bestest birthday cake ever!  (yes, I'm sure that is a word) :)


We had a cupcake station where all the kids could decorate their own mini cupcakes with colored icing, sprinkles and mini MnM's.  This always goes down a treat.  A jumping castle and trampoline were put to good use by the older children and when it was all over, everyone, including the adults, were well and truly ready for a nap!

Along with chocolate ladybugs and malt biscuits, each child got to plant their own lettuce seedling and take it home to grow.

Benjamin is very excited about finally getting to eat the cake!

She is such a cheeky little poppet.
